Meet the Team

Lisa is the Co-Founder and Psychotherapist at D3 Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has a special interest in women’s issues, including menopause, as well as attachment and relationship concerns. Lisa is currently completing a master’s in child and adolescent psychotherapy, which further supports her work with young people and families. She offers a compassionate, supportive, and collaborative space where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and move towards personal growth.

Lisa’s therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply person-centred. She believes that therapy works best when it is shaped around each individual’s unique strengths, challenges, and hopes for the future. Drawing on her knowledge of attachment theory, emotional regulation, developmental trauma, and life transitions, Lisa supports clients in navigating difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, complex trauma, and the lasting impact of adverse experiences.

Lisa is currently completing a Master’s in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and works with children from age 6, as well as adolescents and adults. She provides developmentally sensitive therapy that evolves as clients grow. Lisa integrates the therapeutic use of play, creative media, and expressive arts into her work, recognising that younger clients and some adolescents may express themselves more comfortably through creative and non-verbal approaches. Techniques such as art, sandtray work, and sensory or embodiment activities provide additional pathways for healing and self-expression.

With a particular passion for women’s mental health, Lisa has undertaken specialist training in ADHD and women’s wellbeing, including the emotional and psychological impacts of menopause and perimenopause. She helps women and individuals reconnect with themselves during times of change and transition, offering compassionate support and practical tools for resilience.

Lisa holds certifications in Complex Trauma (CCTP/CCTP-II) and is trained in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). She has also completed further trainings such as Peter Levine’s Trauma Masterclass, Somatic Experiencing, and specialist workshops on the power of language in trauma care.

Lisa is dedicated to creating an inclusive, affirming, and empowering space where clients of all ages can feel supported in their healing and growth. She offers in-person and online therapy, and provides a free 30-minute consultation to explore whether working together feels right for you.
